Operations Manager (Industrial Technology)

Garment IO is looking for an KPI-driven leader who is passionate for delivery and guiding a team across Egypt to deliver quality training, support and consultancy to manufacturers. Someone who can make use of their experience in operations to take our service delivery to the next level.

Job Description

  1. Manage team of Operations Analysts (Industrial Engineer) across multiple governorates in Egypt
  2. Conduct frequent factory visits for consultancy, alignment meetings and high-level reporting (2 to 4 factory visits per week)
  3. Lead operations team in achieving target KPIs:
    1. Realization rate: deployed devices/contracted devices per factory
    2. Utilization rate: used modules/available modules per factory
    3. Net Promoter Score: an indicator of overall client satisfaction per factory
  4. Strategically conduct or support team in the following activities with factories whenever needed:
    1. Support factories with training, issue handling and responding to inquiries
    2. Analyze new factory requirements and document them
    3. Maintain effective, prompt and accurate communication with all factories
    4. Map pre-deployment manufacturing processes for new factories
  5. Manage operations team performance:
    1. Conduct final hiring interviews and take hiring/firing decisions
    2. Conduct quarterly performance appraisals
    3. Hold weekly one-to-ones

Required Skills

  1. At least 6 years experience in service delivery (3 of them in managing teams and delivering KPIs)
  2. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
  3. Willingness to travel to factories in Egypt for visits (some visits may require overnight stays: up to 2 times per quarter)
  4. Excellent command of written and spoken Arabic & English
  5. Effective and organized online and face-to-face communication skills
  6. Ability to maintain positive relationships with diverse groups from different backgrounds
  7. Strong time management capabilities
  8. Dedication and commitment to deliverables

Preferred Skills

  1. Driver’s license and car (transportation is subsidized by Garment IO)

Job Description

  1. Support factories with training, issue handling and responding to inquiries
  2. Analyze new factory requirements and document them
  3. Conduct frequent factory visits for consultancy, support and training
  4. Maintain effective, prompt and accurate communication with all factories
  5. Map pre-deployment manufacturing processes for new factories
  6. Coordinate with Admin to maintain accurate records of equipment, devices and hardware
  7. Coordinate hardware and equipment deliveries to factories and issue their delivery receipts

Required Skills

  1. Willingness to travel to factories in Egypt and abroad on short-term assignments
  2. Excellent command of written and spoken Arabic & English
  3. Effective and organized online and face-to-face communication skills
  4. Ability to maintain positive relationships with diverse groups from different backgrounds
  5. Ability and persistence to work alone in large factories
  6. Strong time management capabilities
  7. Dedication and commitment to deliverables
