Garment IO is seeking a detail-oriented hardware design engineer to design and develop custom hardware. Someone who is analytically minded and have detailed knowledge of the latest technology in hardware.

Job Description

  1. Design and maintain hardware products including PCBs and electro-mechanical enclosures
  2. Manage consultants and external designers throughout the product development cycle
  3. Plan and execute the complete design cycle including design requirements analysis, conceptual design development, electronic board schematic and layout development, design validation using development kits, electrical design release for manufacturing and design documentation
  4. Analyze all product performance pricing and propose design changes for cost reduction
  5. Develop test plan for hardware products including Design for Testability (DFT)
  6. New software and hardware during deployment to ensure smooth functioning of system
  7. Assess the technical offers from Manufacturing partners and collaborate with them to ensure timely supply of systems and devices as per specification
  8. Provide training to the operation team and supervise work to ensure compatibility and reliability

Required Skills

  1. Strong technical background and familiarity with circuit design principles and logic design
  2. Excellent knowledge of schematic capture and PCB layout CAD tools
  3. Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  4. Experience developing low-level debug firmware is a plus
  5. Ability to be independent
  6. Ability to travel as required
